Was adding up what i've spent on my car the other day. I was gob smacked when i realised it was over 2k.
What have you guys spent on your cars? Not indluding buying the car in the first place.
You can post a list of mods too. Not with price next to them, just a total at the end. A pic would be cool too.
Lets see how crazy you guys are about your cars..

Around £1300 the bulk of that being a VTS conversion.

De cat
gmc manifold
heat wrap

angel eyes
buckets
show cage

I aint spent a lot
£60 - Induction Kit
£40 - Front Components
£60 - 6x9's ( these will eventually be chucked when i can afford amp and sub)
£20 - Tax disc holder, Gear Knob and pedals
£15 - Anti theft valve caps

So £215 in total for the subtle mods. Probably naff all compared to some people but like I said I've only done subtle things. The only repairs I've had to pay for was a new middle section for my exhaust and a few new bulbs. Thats it

I'm not one for spending a lot on a car knowing I wouldn't get any of it back when I come to sell but I did add it up one day and I've spent just over £3k on it. So in total, the car has had £8k spent on it. Gees.
ChrisJ
15th July 2006, 19:59
Not spent too much then Damo?
DevilDamo
15th July 2006, 20:02
Well... I never knew it was that much! Hehe!
My problem is that if I wanted something, then I'd pay to have it done so that is where all these things have added up. However, if I were given a £3k loan, I would not have spent it on my car. Hehe! I can now see how people end up spending thousands on their cars because they like me must pay for bits at a time and not whole.

i took most stuff out of my last car when i sold it so not spent much in the overall scheme of what id like to just £90 for some brand new alloys but i sold the vtr ones for £150 so made that back plus more tho i did just have her serviced which worked out at £350: cam belt oil seals rear pads service and semi oil for that plus £55 for a new cat converter to pass the mot emissions but as i only paid £1200 for the car with full service hist and 80k miles think ill still cash in if i sell!
