I managed to break off the casing for the cig lighter bulb when trying to replace the bulb and had trouble getting it to work (the bulb) properly again, so i just popped in a new cig lighter which is working fine apart from i cant get the bulb to work.
I had to take apart the housing connector for the 3 wires that attached to the factory fitted lighter. Positive and earth are now attached to the new lighter fine, but i cant seem to work out how to get the third wire (switched live) to work with the new bulb unit.
The bulb unit on the new cig lighter (from Halfords, standard one they got) has positive and earth connectors for the bulb, there is only the one cable left from the car wires though and im stumped if i can figure out how to make it work. The bulb looks fine.
