Is it not a little early for winter tyres on your car mate? was always told at work to use them as little as possible as they wear quick and will be f**ked by heat cycles with there been no snow or ice on the roads until jan/feb. I could be wrong though i am just going from what a old school Canadian mechanic told me.

most ppl advise fitting them oct-march. we had a fairly warm oct but over next few weeks should see the temp get lower with frost end the month and anythin less then about 7'c is where the tyres are alot better and in the wet conditions so should be all good!!

I ordered my winter tyres a good few weeks ago and they've still not arrived due to demand!
Last year we got the worst of our weather at the end of november and ideally you want to wear in the tyres a wee bit before the snow/ice comes as it improves their performance. You wont get any grip putting fresh rubber on snow.
May I ask what tyres you got? I got a set Falken-Ohtsu HS-439 for £200 fitted, though they've not arrived yet.
