A few different options;

The vts box is slightly shorter, and still keeps the 'sports cluster'.

The 1.1 box is even shorter, but doesn't use a 'sports cluster' so is slightly weaker, but alot of members will back these up that they aren't as weak as people make out.

106 rallye box is the shortest box, tops out just over 100mph.

All the driveshafts are the same at the gearbox end, so no need to worry about them.

Clutch set-up is the same too.

starting project saxo.. complete strip! oil seals came out with the drive shafts when i did the clutch last week.. taking it off the road for 2 months and replace everythin.

i goto wales alot,.. 100 mile round trip.. is the 1.1 box going to scream on the motorway?

Yes.

Any 'close ratio' box will be!

Mine sits at 3500RPM @ 70mph in my 8v.

Next time my box is out, i would defo consider putting a vtr 5th gear in it.

I believe the xsi boxes are a nice compromise. Its what I want for mine if I cant get hold of a rallye one.
