To put it simply I have done an R conversion on my furio, it is currently running a racleand 4-2-1, so i want to stick the cat under the car? as its a mk2 vtr engine, in a mk2 shell will it pass the emissions test of the MOT with a mk1 cat?

second question which one should i choose?
(they are different due to a rule that came in, in 2000? :S

you could just purchase a good second hand manifold cat for £20. just whip off the raceland and put it in. just means you can go straight thru after MOT

ive got the mk2 original mani and the cat, but i have drilled out the hole to blank the oil return etc and is just more hassle than its worth compared with just putting a mk1 cat underneath the car?

Quite a few people do this - should be fine.
