Hey guys, just wondering if anyone uses the buttons that are above the radio on the dash for extra stuff? The ones where the hazards are.

Ive put a USB port in mine on the left as i have a Ripspeed DVD player and threaded it up the back and fixed it into the blank plastic button instead of having USB stick and trailing lead in the centre unit in front of the gear stick. Ideal if you use a memory stick etc :) Also a green LED above it

alarm, air con (european models), mute for the stereo, airbag on/off, any electrics that would need a switch basically.. Thinking of slightly tweaking one of the buttons into a sat nav mount.

Won't be too tough a job, and some silicone loctite will hold the button in place... Certainly will hold better than the windcreen suck cup.

And save the annoying circular Marks they leave when you take the hold off the screen :)

yes indeed. The other problem I had once was my sat nav overheating and shutting down while charging in summer. I was driving with the sun in front, so don't fancy going through that again as the battery went fubar for a couple hours. with that mod I'll get the blower straight on it.

on mine iv got one thats a mute for the subs, For them times you dont want overpowering pounding bass blowing your head off and as putting my bass on -7 is still more bass than what alot of people have.
