hi guys and gals.
i have wanted to own a saxo since they were released way back when. now i have finally done the dirty deed and purchased a vtr.
admittadly, it does need work but wont be a problem due to being a mechanic.
first things first it is a mk1 vtr in black. which has done just over 80,000miles, it has been badly modified by the previous owners but over a period of time will be made alot better.
first things first are sort out all the mot failures, and get it moted. then sort out suspension. i believe the front has been lowered but the back has been left standard which in my eyes is a cop out, if your going to do a job do it properly. also it has 17" alloys on that look ok just need spacing out a bit as rub on the inner wings.(mot failure). also whileim dealing with the mot failures it needs a new exhaust system as the one thats on it has no cat and looks weird as sits on the drivers side at the rear. (mot failure on emissions). also all cv boots and steering rack boots will be changed (mot failure) while doing steering rack boots i will be resecuring steering rack (mot failure).
so thats the major failures on mot sheet, minors inlude bulbs and windscreen fluid level. so nothing really.
i just cant believe people put a car in for mot without checking it over.
anyway only paid £120 for the car so not overly fussed but will be nice once done as i do have future plans for it but that would be telling.
pics to follow when i collect car on the 22nd due to the seller being away at present.
