No well at least not on my policy,it states limited to roughly 8k per year.If you do over that then you must inform them & they adjust your premium.:drink:

Do they ask for current mileage on 8k limits? or do they just use MOT?

I used to be a customer with them for about 4-5 weeks. They asked me 3 times for papers proving my NCB yet they wouldn't take the perfectly valid paperwork I sent them into account.
Limited mileage.
They don't cover mods.
They're more expensive than others.
The staff I had on the phone were mongs, or other type of retardery including I only had GCSEs in reading computer screens but not much else. One good moment though: the day I cancelled my business with them. Told the girl "I wish to cancel my contract with you please". There she went "ooooh noooo" to which I replied "ooooh yeeesshhh". She told me about some cancellation fees and I told her that I was gonna cancel my direct debit and not cough one more penny. She said I couldn't, I said watch me. Haven't heard of them since.

did you have to provide them with a mileage on the car(eg write mileage down)?
and say you wont exceed this by X ammount of miles?
or do they take your word for it?
Weirdly enough, there the only cheap price i can find lol

No they don`t but they have access to the DVLA website so they can check your mileage that way.:drink:

Yeah I had to state how many miles I had etc. Even if back then I did not have a clue of how much I was gonna drive, but the girl on the other side of the phone was just another computer operating monkey. Then they asked me 3 times to send them proof of my NCB. After the third time of them telling me it wasn't good enough I cancelled their ass, only so much paperwork I can be arsed to do as I hate wasting my time doing the same things over and over again.
One detail that tipped me into thinking they were money grabbing bastards: once I was "done" with all the petty details over the phone the girl gave me the choice of getting my paperwork next week (needed them in the next 4 days to move the new car but also get myself to destination) or pay £20 extra to get them within 24 hours. That's just ludicrous, I'm not sure about why pressing the print button now instead of in 5 days is worth 20 quid.
Then they don't insure mods which I found out later. I canceled them after being fully fed up with their general bullshit, turned out that move saved me some money and the next insurance company send me all the paperwork within 20 hours for no extra fee.
TL;DR
Avoid Churchill and the stupid nodding dog, legalised con.

That story is pretty awesome! I will remember about cancellation fees and see if I can try that if I ever need to! I'm surprised they didn't try and get the money off you tbf! Insurers as so happy to mug us (somehow its legal) then not hand it back out!

Thanks, but as awesome as it may sound they were still a waste of time, effort and money.

The more they charge us, the more VAT towards this government's bank account. Still wondering why it's legal ? " I pledge we will end the war on the motorist. Oink oink"

That's very true, but still its good you stood up for yourself and didn't get robbed of yet more money!
Also a good point! It really is weird, its like they try to price themselves out of business...but then again we still pay most of the time :n:!!

It really felt like they were trying to cancel my NCB and readjust my premium up. I don't really like to be told by computer monkeys what's what when they can read perfectly valid paperwork in the first place let alone 3 times. I wonder how many times they tried to pull that con on people.

Not strictly true Manu, about not covering mod`s I have mod`s declared with them. They are robbing bast*rds though I told them I had an induction plus smoked jewels etc & they said no extra charge on the premium but it`ll cost you £15.00 to have the paperwork altered.

The policy given to said clearly said no mods allowed or they wouldn't cover. Then yeah If you tell them you had beans for breakfast then farted on your car seat and want it stated on your policy they will charge you for it. Every single person I had on the phone were pretty useless, as in monkeys with a phone, a desk and a computer.
They didn't seem to be able to read the documents I provided them on several occasions. I don't trust someone who can read, especially when it's about sorting legal requirements such as insurance. I went elsewhere and saved some money even though I had to pay extra to finish my business with them. They must have computer keyboards with keys made out of gold and platinum to charge that much.

ripoff, see above.
