Hi all, my son has a 2002 1.1 desire, when passengers are in rear of car he gets a noise when going over a speed bump. To me it sounds like a couple of spanners ratteling arounnd in boot.Only seems to do it on near side rear? Would be gratefull for any help, Regards Colin

obvious question, but have you been under to see if anything is loose? exhaust mounts etc?

go look under, search for the scrape marks and find out where the problem is.

Meet Moke, the forums idiot lol
Like Nicole says, check the spare wheel, if it does have one then check if the jack and brace are loose in the wheel

You never know it could be a little bit of everything...
However everyone has listed things that would rattle regardless of carrying passengers and you've said it rattles only when carrying?
So is more of a weight related issue then...
Always worth checking under the carpet incase there are some nuts and bolts rattling around, rear shocks incase increased weight brings metal to metal over any bump.
Maybe even the exhaust hitting the body due to excess movement.
Other wise do as everyone says and get under the car and locate the loose/wobbly item. :y:
