i need some help, i've recently bought a vts its been lowered and its sittin on 17s, and everytime i do full lock its rubbing on the inside next 2 the engine.

I've been told i wont pass the mot, someone said i can get spacers but another bloke said then it will rub on the main arches.

So do i a) get smaller wheels b) raise the springs and get spacers or C) both or D0 something else

and also the bloke told me don't take 2 many people in the back as the bolt holding the back bumper on is gonna rub on the back tyre.

please help.

also you can take people in the back put you will need to modify the arches quite a lot to stop it completly rubbing

Simo has gone to the trouble of writing an FAQ - Linkage (http://www.saxperience.com/faq/show-article.php?artid=81)

Hope that helps

17's looks only,
15's for handling perfomance
16's for the compromise between the two

With 17's you gotta be careful when you got people in the back cause the fuel pipe on rear drivers side arch has a little metal clip on it and you will also find that will rub and eventually disrupt the connection causing a leak, hapened to a mate. also if you wanna roll on 17's and have them turning smoothly your gonna need to get those arches rolled son shine!

Also if you aint had the bracket in the arch for the back bumper "modified" u end up with a line all around ur tyre from where it is digging in.. As i have found out.! Ouch.!!

I agree, had 17's and it wasn't lowered. Worst thing ever. Rubbed all the time with people in the back and on full lock. Sell and get 16's. imo
