Yes you could you`d need a different pedal box for starters. Not sure if the 1.4 autobox would work or if you`d need the 1.6 box like i`ve got. Also needed would be the ecu & wiring loom for the box.The question i`d like to ask though is why mate?I did consider a 16v vts engine for my saxo but decided it`d be too much hassle.

For starters you don`t need to buy driveshafts, you use the 1`s you have in any case it`s only the gearbox side you`d be removing. You don`t don`t say if it`s a black top 90bhp engine you have or the later 98bhp engine.

Utter crap(sorry)to be blunt i`ve had my car up at 120mph,yes acceleration they are slower but once they are going they`re not too bad.Petrol wise it`s all according on how you drive them.:drink:

you'll need the torque converter and some auto's have an extra cable from the acellerator pedal for kick down.

surely be easier to buy a 1.6 auto (if they made them) and put the kit on it

Yes they did make a 1.6 auto that`s what i`m driving. They only had a 1yr production run before switching over to the 1.4 engine. So all in all a rare car which is why i`ve kept mine & spent money on it.:drink:

i had a 1.6 auto for sale last year, i quite enjoyed running it tbh, but steve, the nearside driveshaft was def different to a manual one, i remember as i had the engine and box out of it, was held into the box with 3 bolts through a gaitor, similar to renaults

Cheers for that Jason I know on some autoboxes the driveshafts & seals are different I wasn`t sure about the saxo though.

it threw me a wobbly tbh, got wrong spanners out and everything lol, looking at the guys question though i can't see as a conversion would be worth while

I know it seems a lot of hassle for what basically,it`d be cheaper to buy an auto saxo.:drink:
