hi there i have just brought some vtr wheels for my desire but i want to know what nuts i put on there vtr ones or can i use the standard nuts that are onmy steelies now? alsowhat locking wheel nuts shall i use?

You'll need flat washer bolts to hold them on properly, can be found on vt*, 106 quiky/gti etc etc

Vtr wheels need flat seated bolts - won't hold them properly otherwise.

Good shout Steve forgot about that, one has a flat collar and the other has a slight taper, and it does make a difference as i found out months ago when putting on some r wheels temporarily

ive got a desire too and got some vtr alloys and just used the standard wheel nuts and its fine mate dont go wastin money on stuff you wont need. just give it a little check now and then and its all gravy :)

so you are using tapered steel wheel nuts that are too short on vtr wheels? they might seem fine but you won't be saying that when they come loose and your wheel falls off! .. to the original poster please make sure you get the correct bolts!

Mr current vtr wheel nuts are tapered. My older set which i got off ebay were flat.

VTS are flat too i think?
