hi been havin a few problems lately ive had shakin vibrating on idle, started cuttin out on me few days back randomly then starts first time engine management light came on few seconds. all sensors except lamda have been changed and coilpack, injectors, fuel pump, filter, plugs. ive been keepin an eye on the coolant and it seems to be goin down like 1cm or 2 every 3to4 days. i sucked some out and was clear no oil in it. no smoke from exhaust no mayo on oil cap. ive already rang the garage labour will be about 100 quid for 4 hours work. anyone ever had one go before? do u think mines on its way out. cheers.

hi yes am still getting hot air from the blowers. i cleaned the idle control valve. the revs seem steady enough not jumping sticking or anything. its not cut out since had another fuel pump in, not yet anyway. i had the car on the gf new driveway on weekend so would of noticed any leaks.

Had the head skimmed and valve guides done at the same time, was about £220 all in.The water was getting into the bores on one cylinder on mine and losing all its water within 30 miles ,it was very nearly fooked ! You may find your'e losing water somewhere else but this was what happened to me.

I had my head gasket go twice in the last 4 years.

Had the head skimmed and quality gasket, but done at mates' rates, was £250 each time.

just got back from garage he did say something about water jacket. and that i might be gettin the judder on low revs because of condensation passin the lamda sensor not too sure about that one. basicly he said keep drivin it if keeps goin down itl be the head gasket. great :wall:
