I dont think it will fail in the noise just emissions but if its got a cat dont worry about them, just the police dont like noisy cars- well thats what happens round here lol

buy a proper silencer instead of messing around or all you'll manage to do is get the back pressure wrong and lose power. Or get a proper 2 inch backbox instead of a 4 inch japcrap.

The 1.1's have no mid silencer, manifold, down pipe, cat then the back box. Mine has a 3" backbox on there an it's loud but you will loose power if you add a mid silencer into the system. As long a the cat is okay theirs not a problem:)

it depends on how many parts:
-manifold
-cat converter
-middle pipe
-backbox
each is about 50 to 70 quid depending on where you go (labour aside). Rule of thumb: if it ain't broke don't fix it. Though in your case "it's very loud", as in not fit for purpose.

Hi
Text talk is banned first off, you need to write properly.
A decent exhaust system can cost anything from £50 (second hand) to £500+
Supersprint and SaxSport and two popular brands
I would look at spending about £200 for a decent 2nd hand system (decat)

If your from Southend and go up around lakeside I wouldn't advise hugely loud exhaust. I've taken my. 5" one off, loved the sound but too much trouble with it.
