T cutted them ages ago want to bring the car back to ( more or less ) standard, what paint do i need? any preparation etc required? How many coats? everything really....... i'm clueless!

when i painted my boot handle i done 2 coats of primer then 3 of the colour i think. with sanding inbetween coats. first time i had painted anything and it turned out great

Lol to paint my badges I used one coat of paint and one coat of laquer - looks perfect to me. May wear down quicker due to no primer but months have passed and it's still okay and looks perfect :homme:

Plastic primer,then top coat.

Are you bringing it back to standard to sell?
Easiest way would be to buy some silver enamel paint and use a brush to paint it on.
Not enough people paint car parts with brushes :D
Mind you... thinking how much the paint costs, might just be cheaper to buy some new badges off ebay. Or pocket some whilst visiting a scrap yard or something :p

scrap yard n slip them in your pocket ;) failing that sand them down primer 1/2 coats then lacqur
