Leave it on the back seat until the police pull you over.
That's a lovely Saxo!

snap it, and leave it on your seat. get stopped say some cunt had backed into you or kicked it whilst it was in a car park!

personaly would do the above.
but if i did fit it, it would be a small square type, where one of the fog lights used to be :y:
use sticky pads on the top and where it goes in at the bottom use little aluminium brackets or small bolts so the plate is suspended away from the bumper if you understand that?

I've been pulled twice before tho involving plates :(. Are you actually allowed to have it in the window? Or a smaller plate size somewhere on the bumper?

I'd rather not snap a plate and save a fiver. Just as easy to say the plate fell of. My plate has those adhesive squares on and their dry so..

I don't see how you can get away with someone kicked it off or reversed into you and it snapped the screws would hold it in place.
Meh I'll stick with my way. cops haven't taken any notice of mine in window.

For monthes I ran the Polo with the number plate in the window with no issues. As soon as it wasn't displayed at all, they fucked me with 3 points and £60 fine!
Window should be fine!

dunno weather its true but i heard cars that dont have number plate recesses e.g jap imprts like some of the mx 5s are aloud either stick on ones or ones in the window , because you shouldnt have to cut body work to fit the plate so if this is true you could use that excuse

lol sorted! but im sure i read that within the regulations but typically cant find anything that refers to anything other than font size and spacing etc.
so when its in the window its at the wrong angle and too far back on the car. id imagine it should be at the front due to acting as a vehicles front reflector

I'd say just stock up on sticky pads and wd40, stick it where it goes for every day, take it off and remove the sticky bits for shows, meets and photoshoots...

Theres an impreza in the national rally that has a hinged plate just folds up when the car is going. Go for the james bond style and have it rotate out of the bumper

to be fair jay, i didnt even know that there were rear facing ones, seeing as the times my family have been caught, they tried to blame the other driver (like my dad was a lorry driver at the time, and it could have harmed his job to have points, he tried to say it was my mum, but they sent a picture of a 40 year old man driving back.... i told him to say 'yes, thats my wife, shes beautiful on the inside..)
But yeah, there are rear facing ones too :)

In Top Gear when they went to Japan I think, the law states you cannot be prosecuted unless they have the drivers picture too. So they had masks for the speed cameras, lol...
