Just received my new sidelight bulbs today. Went to fit the front sidelight bulbs, Put 1 in went to put the other in and the other went off. As if i had blown a fuse or something. Checked the fuses they all look ok unless i missed 1. Now the sidelights do not work at all but my main headlights work.

Also i have smoked rear mk2 lights they have been fine for weeks now the right rear bulb with the double element rear and brake wont work. Ive tried 3 different double element bulbs nothing is working could it be the holder its really pissing me off because i need to do a long journey tonight not sure why its just "Stopped" working.

Any help asap would be magic. Thanks :wall:

If you put a bulb in with a dirty/slightly oily hand, then the bulb would have fried and went bang.

Check top left corner fuse in the glovebox, should be the vertical one. If it's this fuse your dash lights shouldn't work either as a double check.

Put something on your brake pedal with the ignition on and take apart your light. Fiddle around with the bulb in the housing and see if you can get to come on. Mine came loose the other day (I'm presuming speed bump or something) I just ended up taping it in place.

Edit - Just re read.

It's the fuse as it's the same one for parking lights and rear right light.
