"In electronics and electrical engineering, a fuse (from the French fusée, Italian. fuso, "spindle"[1]) is a type of low resistance resistor that acts as a sacrificial device to provide overcurrent protection, of either the load or source circuit. Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts when too much current flows, which interrupts the circuit in which it is connected. Short circuit, overloading, mismatched loads or device failure are the prime reasons for excessive current."

Basically the fuse is there to stop the wires overheating and breaking something else...good luck in finding it, could be a dash out job, but you'll need yourself a continuity tester

I think instead of you trying to fix it yourself, you take it to a mechanic.

They cost mate:y: not everyone has that sort of cash to splash at mechanics........

I know they cost, but they cost for a reason mate. Ive never heard of anyone trying to fix why a fuse has blown by "pushing the to ends together so it would last longer "

Maybe thats just me, There is a reason why your fuse has blown, did you replace the broken fuse, with the correct fuse? Might be worth while seeing if anyone on here local to you would come see whats up bud.

Be thankful your car didn't end up between crispy and well done. Is it wrong section day today (again)?

Glad I didn't have to say it :A:

I think I'm just about to post about turtles reproduction in non saline water. I might as well do that in the engine / performance section. But anyway thanks for the giggles, burning stuff up after having bypassed the fuses was fucking funny. Some people shouldn't play with stuff they clearly have no clue about.

have you checked all the rest of the fuses in the engine bay and under dash
