while getting my exhaust done the tyre place said that my rear drivers shock has play in it and needs replacing. is it a simple enough job on a saxo because of the lack of springs? is it something i could attempt with just my trusty tool box?

easy to do, jack car up, remove nuts and bolts from top and bottom of shocker, replace with new one and re-do the nuts
you will only need spanners and sockets ranging from 17mm to 20mm.
