Basically I have been looking a detailing vids on utube and has sort ov got me think that i would like to do our cars, but not sure which is the best kit to get.
I have a silver C2 VTS and the wife has a black meriva, do i need to different kits due to cars been different colurs or can I use the same for both.
Looking to get the best glossy shine possible on the C2.
Cheers

CONGRATS'
you're a dick
Basically you get different polishes and waxes for different colours of paintwork, some work better on warm colours than light or dark colours, have a look on CleanYourCar (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/)

Menzerna Polish, Decent polisher/ pads, Decent wax/ Sealant, Good clay, job done.
A lot of it is just Marketing crap, you can thank Dildo Juice for that one.

Cant be arsed to sit and read all that John but what They are basically doing is adding Colours and Dyes to waxes to make them appear to be enhancing the colour, Making people layer the wax upon other layers thus making them buy more of their waxes, People just fall into the trap of Clever Marketing is what I'm trying to say.

I normally use the same kit regardless of car colour. As much as I'd love to say I've noticed a difference when using a colour specifix wax or polish, I really haven't.
My kit:
Snowfoam lance + Valet pro Ph neutral snow foam
Gold's shampoo
Bilt Hamber clay kit
Kestral Das-6 Orbital machine polisher
Menzerna power gloss, power finish and final finish polishes (I think that's what they're called!)
Poorboy's white diamond glaze
Dodo juice red mist sealant
Collinite no.476 hard wax, Auto Glymm hd wax (My only auto shite product!) or Hardy's
then various interior bits and bobs.
It's an expensive and time consuming hobby, and your neighbours will think you're a freak. But it's pretty rewarding and gives you a break from the misses.

Missus has come in tonight with more cleaning goodies so getting bigger already.
As for the nilfisk, the one in the link is coming in at £80, from local wholesaler, which is a steal.
Just wanting to know if this was any good as was going get a Karcher originally, til I found I could get this.

Looks like I'm missing applicator pads. Which do you pro detailers recommend for hand washing as ive never used a machine polisher before. Also how good are lambs wool motts, as i only hqve a mf mitt so far.

A MF mitt will do just as good job as a lambs wash mitt, at the end of the day its personal preference which one you like. Im currently using megs lambswool washmit.

Its good quality, fits my hands nicely and holds plenty of water. I might splash out on a yeti fist in the summer only because I love the looks of it... :P

Your going to love it mate, foams up very well and clings to the car well too, just a shame it is quite expensive compared to others.
