just bought an mx5 and got rid of the saxo,
but went with a different insurance company, my saxo policy is only 2 months into the second year, i dont pay by direct debit and do not want to pay the massive cancelation fee, if i dont just pay they send a letter out saying i have 21 days or the policy will be canceled, if i dont pay and they cancel it do you think that will be the end of it?
as they dont have my bank details.
anyone had this before?

Have you already insured the MX5 with a different company ? You could just change the car on your existing policy.

Yeah already insured only reason I changed is because co op wouldn't insure me on it.

Just have to cancel the other policy then no point having two running, how do you pay for the other policy if not by direct debit ? I think if you dont pay the other policy and avoid payments it may flash up on your credit history, may be wrong.

how much is it to just cancel the co op policy you dont want? usually just a fee of like £25-45 and 2 months worth of insurance if you were insured for 2 months...

hence why you do your research on insurance and MPG before changing cars?

They are pretty bad, but then fairly cheap to fill the tank. can get 30mpg if driving sensibly, but I like to touch the loud pedal too much. I dont worry about mpg any more lol.

Cancel it asap and you will be owe less money than what you will be owed if you let it run without paying.
Letting it run will just keep putting the bill up until they realise you havn't paid and it will be back-dated to the last time you made a payment.
