door strap damage

has anyone here tried bashing out damage to a door from a broken door strap, i was thinking of getting someone to brace it while i tapped it out with some wood and a rubber mallet? its not massive damage but it bugs the hell outta me, like the edge of the door has been creased in slightly

You will struggle to get in there mate but worth a try best bet is to get a door of the same colour. There pretty cheap to pick up from ebay or your local scrapyard.
