Could be

Droplinks
Arb bushes
Top mounts

Majority can easily be checked at home dude

Arb . Need to jack the car up both sides and place a longish bar above the arb and push down on a solid bit of the chassis .

While its up you may aswell check the droplinks . Place a bar between the wishbone and the arb and push down where the lower joint is on the droplink , there may be play in it .

Saxoclarke.... Check underneath your carpets, the two nuts that secure the rearmost part of the lower arm have a habit of 'not being tightened properly'

Rhysupply.... Grab a hold of the chunky centre peice of your steering rack and give it a wiggle up and down. If it clunks then thats your problem.
