newbie needs some help

right bought a cheap vtr today and have a cuple of issues with lights first no dash lights and i havn't got any lights front or back on drivers side any ideas :panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:

Dash lights could possibly be a fuse problem? Maybe not sure...

check fuses
check all earth points (behind rear lights,behind carpet just under the dash on A pillars etc )
