GT5 - What car did you use against the race cars?

Just recently dusted this game off and only have events against race cars left in the expert (I think) race series.

So just wondering what cars and settings people used in them?

I've only seen one 900bhp-ish race car for sale and that was second hand for just shy of C2m. The new race cars seem to only have 493bhp, are they tuneable?

Most of my cars are tuned to the max and can't compete.

It pretty tricky I've got a maxed out chevy zr1 (the newest one) and I don't think I've beaten them and I'd like to think I'm atleast a decent driver on gt5. Psn: TwiggyMK

I'd like to earn/buy the car myself tbh but they either cost 5-20m Credits (which I don't have, about 2m) or look like they'd be too slow (as said around 493bhp when about 900 is needed).

It's really holding the game up tbh. I've read you get better cars for getting all golds on the licences so I may try that.

I got all the golds for the license not long after it was released and the cars we OK.

i took full advantage of the SSR7 glitch (which you now cant do) and bought every race car in the game, including all the 20m ones :D

buy yourself a nascar, and nissan skyline race car, the pug LM race car and some others that you fancy, all can have turbos fitted and will easily piss on the computer cars if you a decent driver on the game.

the above should set you back aroud 5mil i think, the pug being the most expensive, if you dont have that amount of money at the min do all the seasonal events and you will easily have well over 6mil but make sure you have your sign in bonus up to 200%

Yeah I know, it's just not that fun tbh, well the whole game. Especially now you know what the opponents will have power wise. You can either go in with more and dick them or keep it close and risk losing.

Sign in bonus 200%?

GLITCH - used to be a glitch on the SSR7 track (online only) where you could get out of the map, you would head towards to start/finish line (under the track as your out the map) and you could either drive in a circle or if you wer amsome, like me :D , donut across the start/finish line completing a lap in about 0.400 seconds or 3 seconds if driving in a circle.

set it to 200laps, doing 1 normal lap would take around 5-10 mins, so the prize money for first place was roughly 6mill at time and you got shit loads of XP :D

this glitch has now been patched and cant be done, think i made around 100million from it and went up 10 levels of xp :D

SIGN IN BONUS OF 200%? - im "presuming" you play this game online, if you do not have your PS3 connected to the internet this will not apply to you.

basically when you log into gt5 you get paint chips etc for logging in, but now since the latest update you also get a log in bonus.

log in once and it will be 110%, log in again the NEXT day it will go up to 130%, then the next day 150% and so on untill it hits 200%. This basically means any races you do (single player and multiplayer) you will get double the money and XP per race IF you have it up at 200% obviously if its 150% you will get 1.5 times the prize.

but you MUST sign in every day to get it up to and keep it at 200%, if you miss a day it will drop down to the level below.

oh and yes 95% of the race cars can take a turbo, some can evn take some engine tuning but for example i have the 370z JGTC car with around 680bhp :)

Thats what im doing at the moment done a few races in expert, even with the realy fast cars i tend to over lap them, got a few races (level 24+) where there are 10 laps each race with about 6 races in champianship to do. easy peasy.
although you cant race it in all races.

The toyota minolta and the toyota race car 70 destroy pretty much everything... you win the race car 70 then you use that to win the minolta.

Yeah the 70's super car series is annoying you need the toyota 7 race car or whatever that I spoke of earlier, you win it from B Spec - Like The Wind & it's a very good car plus you can slap on a turbo :)

Once you've got that you can do the A spec of like the wind and you win the Toyota Minolta 88C-V '89

then you're sorted :)
