What colour wire

Hey, does anyone know what colour wire supplied to the cig lighter is 12volts? And also how to get the damn cig lighter out!

I believe its a constant live there so you should most likely have 2 wires, red and black, red being the live.

Sorry mate I should have said the plug I've taken out has 3 wires green/yellow blue and grey..! I think it is constant though because I've manger to connect the green and blue one to a lamp and it's come on without the ignition. I thought the cig lighter was working on ignition? Do you know where I can get a 12v feed from? Easy to access and my knowldge is very little!

Green/yellow will be earth, blue is live ( i think) and other should supply illumination iirc, as for removal disconnect the wiring and it should just be clipped in place
