help! car misfires on idle?!

alright so my saxo is making a sound like "put put put" from the exhaust at idle it isnt noticable unless you get close to it, it revs fine and drives fine and i cant feel it at all its just annoying knowing its there on my new car! haha, any suggestions to fix this will be muchly appreciated, cheers

When the engine is hot/cold or does it do it all the time?

i think probly same prob alot of people getting is it idle control valve? give it a clean mine doin the same not tried cleaning it yet tho lol

All the time mate, and hmm didnt think about that.. but the idle doesnt seem to jump about on the rev counter at all?

same with me mate i posted sayin it makes that voom voom voom noise ova and ova sounds like its revvin slightly but idle not moving...and they sed clean icv...

okay i'll try that do you know how you'd go about cleaning the icv?

Go for the cheapest things 1st like giving it a service,new plugs filters etc then see how it runs.

claning icv is cheaper ummm under performance forum serch icv cleaning i read a guide on it there somewhere pictures and everyting dead simple..

Okay cheers guys :) i'll try cleaning it tomorrow in the light, i'll get back to you also ive just changed the plugs, oil etc.. ive got a new coil on the way just incase (got it for £10 thought may as well) but yeah, cheers :)
