Ive had various problems this week including flooding the engine like an idiot, but since then, the car just won't idle

When you start it up you have to put your foot on the gas and keep it there, else the engine stalls, when you are coming up to the lights, you have to be very gentle taking your foot off the gas because if you lift it straight off it will stall, this is a big problem to me and because of the concentration I have to have to stop the car stalling, Im not paying much attention to the road, I need this sorting ASAP, Im not sure what it could be

I was going to buy a new coil pack but really don't understand how that could cause this, my initial idea was the Idle Control Valve, although if anyone could tell me what part I need to get I will be very grateful, also any tips to ease it until I get to fix it, I just need to know what it could be, how much it could be to fix, and how to fit whatever parts may be at fault

Thanks
Ben

It started then spluttered straight away, second time I started it it tried to fire but didn't, after that it didn't start at all until I put my foot on the accelerator, then it will fire, and will stall if you take your foot of the pedal, unless you release it very slowly and let it settle at about 800 revs

Clean the throttle body and idle control valve with carb/brake cleaner then check plugs clean them up then re space or replace them. Should sort your problem out.

Sounds to me like your idle control valve is stuck shut so not enough air is getting into engine to let it start up or idle a good clean and maybe a new / second hand valve will sort it mate.

Defo the icv I reckon. As above remove and clean up. If same problem persists then replace.
