Hello All,

After a bit of advice.

I was driving home from Southampton today when on several occasions when either blipping the throttle whilst cruising or letting off the throttle to change gear, i got this really nasty vibration and noise.

It sounded like a problem i had on my Ibiza cupra's secondary water pump but these dont have them?

I could hear it was from drivers side so thought perhaps its the alternator belt, it seems tight enough.

How tight should they be?

Has anyone else experienced this?

doubt its anything to do with the alternator belt, i'd be looking at the exhaust/engine mounts

It wasnt a short noise, at one point it was rattling for about 10 seconds, even when at stand still at a round about,

I will try and get a video if it comes back during a particular action i make

I dont know whether it could be my Cambelt tensioner?

Its odd thought because it seemed to happen as i let of power and am turning but im confident it isnt my power steering pump - iv donr the old take off the power steering pump lid and turn wheel lock to lock 40 times to remove air (If there was any!)

It is a really odd sound, think i might tape my HD camcorder under hood and drive to see if i can make it do it!

Definitely sounds like an exhaust mount to me, have a poke around along the pipe with a torch to spot any cracks where metal could be rubbing against metal.

Does this Cambelt movement look all good?
