Owned my vtr about 4-5 months now, black mk2 vtr, w reg though, so running the mk1 engine, spec:

4-2-1 manifold
de-cat with magnex backbox
lowered 60mm on spax springs and 70mm at the back
new wishbones, new drop links
new brake discs,pads
new rear beam bearings
jewel rear lights
de-wipered
bbs split rims off a polo

A rough idea of my boosted project, as it will be a slow project due to funds, but will be done right the first time, no cutting corners :P parts i'll be sourcing/bought

mk1 vtr engine
t25 turbo off a 200sx
2mm decomp plate
4-6 paddle clutch
490cc injectors
turbo manifold
custom downpipe/exhaust
intercooler/2" boost pipes

Obviously there's more, but i'll list them when i start buying more things :P

490cc injectors? Overkill no, I'm sure you could run smaller injectors 300cc and they'ed be plenty? Just judging at the fact you're not forging, so can't be running silly boost/compression.

Cheers for the advice :y: still need to research more about what i need, will only be running low boost, am i correct in saying i'll need an uprated fuel pump and fpr?

what boost are you planning on running? 490 are large injectors

vts or R box is bettter with boost, 1.1 will have no top end on a vtr due to the rev limit, unless you convert to a black top head wit solid lifters, not wise to rev the roller rockers high

looking good mate, not seen this before :y:

Will be running pretty much the same as you atm :P i've just bought davos t28 :y: Will 440cc injectors be over kill?, And will have a vtr box :y: they only had a 1.1 box at the scrappy when i put a hole in my vtr box  cheers mate

wheels look sick, you got a rough idea how much its gonna cost you to go boost?

Cheers :y: I'm trying to do it for around 1-1.5k, I can do most of it myself apart from the mapping obv, and i'm playing around with a few custom bits atm, like the turbo manifold, i've also just bought a run about so the saxo can come off the road :y:

ha found ya!

car looks very nice i like the wheels alot!

id run a 1mm decomp and a 1.9mm GMC mls head gasket if the vtr head hasnt been attacked by a skimmer. unless you have decomp already. to low compression is not great on a turbo car as you lose responsiveness off boost. makes traffic driving tougher but is essential to lower it from standard if running over 8psi. unless your name is jungle.

fueling wise how you tackling that?

i'm running a standard size gmc head gasket, 1.5mm i think, and a 2mm decomp plate, fueling wise will be 430cc? injectors, 4bar fpr, and standalone management :)

bit of an update,

been toying around with the turbo position with the standard manifold and downpipe off a saab, i've ordered 2 90 degree bends, and plan to weld them onto the standard downpipe cut down, i'm hoping this will put the turbo further to the box and able to have it straight, and should place the downpipe in perfect position to sit under the sump :y:

I do also plan on taking the saxo to pieces next week, and offering up my setup before welding anything :y:
