I peeled the black sticker off of the door pillar. I used a warm heat gun to help with the stickiness.

At the bottom of the black sticker, where the side of the car has been resprayed, there seems to be a small ridge of paint and a little bit of lacquer has peeled off.

(It looks worse in the photo's then in real life)

Most of it is dirt/ gunge and i can clear this off and it'll take the edge off of the bump. Is there anyway how to flatten this in so it looks one level?

I'm assuming for the slight bit of lacquer peel, i'll have to get it touched up? (Good shout of De-Lock)

I had this side of the car re-sprayed in the summer time (due to some idiot scratching it up.) hence the reason for 2 different paint levels.

looks like it hasnt been scotched properly before it was painted, if it was painted at a garage i would go and see them

Tbh silver is good at hiding stuff like this, give it a clean, bit of gentle T-cut work and forget about it. Hardly noticeable

Did i mention that when i got the door re-sprayed, i left the black sticker on?

Looks like they have masked up to this sticker then sprayed.

And as for the little bit of flakey paint?

I've got a small bit of paint they used to spray my car with in the tin. Do you think it would cover the little bit of flake if i dab this on with a paint brush and let it dry and flatten off?

ive had a bit of flakeyness like that, i used the clear coat lacquer touchup pen i got in a set with my paint colour and dabbed a bit over the flaking edge, came up a treat.

just dont put a big blob on cos it will stand out more. :y:

I'm still not 100% happy with it because it still has a slight ridge and there is dirt that wont come off or the T-Cut won't reach.

I'm debating weather to put a transparent strip to replace the old black one. The only down side i can think of is that this part of the car will look super shiny but it will be thick enough material to come up flush to the ridge and take your eye from it.

btw, how do i sort my faded bumpers in the last picture? It looks like the black plastic has worn away leaving the material the bump strip is made from underneath. I've used a heat gun but it doesn't really help. Its not polish

Couldnt have happened at a worse time of year to be honest.

The damp and crap will make the laquer peel over time.

Yer i know, Its got plenty of 746s wax over it. Perhaps a transparent vinyl is my better option or get the whole lot re-sprayed as i doubt they'd be able to feather that in?
