Newcastle New Years Eve

First of all.. Merry christmas everyone! hope its been a good'un..
Anyway..
Me and the lads are thinking Newcastle for New years eve, found a hotel reasonably priced.. The Caledonian Hotel, in the centre of Jesmond?
Any ideas on this hotel people? it seems a bit posh! I don't know whether they'd appreciate 4 lads who are going to get wrecked..
Also, is it near the nightlife?

Jesmond is a good night itself, I normally go out there before going into town :) unaware of that hotel but I imagine it will be ok being there.

And it's very easy to get get into town, taxi/metro/walk all an option.

drinks are reasonable imo, personally i would get the holiday inn bang in the centre, there is a few hotels in centre, metro wont be on in early hours of morn will it?

try and get in the premier inn in the centre if you can,

caledonian i know where it is but not sure on the hotel, cant imagine any hotel in the town will be too bothered by however much mess/noise you make, unless your paying daft money..

Fully booked :( or stupid prices! We are paying 69 quid per twin room so not a bad price! Just the website makes it look really posh.. So drinks are cheap compared to Cambridge? We pay probably 3.50-4 quid a pint!
Any clubs you recommend in Newcastle? We will get taxi so metro is no issue! The only other hotel I found available was holiday inn metro centre

see i would walk it as i know the way, but honestly your only 5 mins away from the centre of newcastle really :y:

Staying in the Euro Hotel i think, from the photo it looks like a old Roman Colosseum.

we always stay at the Premier Inn near the Metro centre - ten minutes into tow, TGI fridays and Frankie and bennies on your doorstep along with the metro centre.

You have no idea mate, im living in oxford most of the time now, the north is soooooo much cheaper for drinks and the girls are loooooaaads more ''loose'' :hug:

Can have a night out at home for the cost of taxi & entry to one club in oxford
