View Full Version : removing rear interior panels?

trying to wire up some new rear speakers to whack on the parcel shelf, but i need to connect via the rear speaker. how do i remove the rear panels without having to remove the back seats?

do u not have a haynes manual also what speakers you using.

the rear panels have to be prized off to reach the speakers. They are held in by clips so start at a corner and pull. Pull the window seal up aswell. Its a bit fiddly when your giving the panel a good tug with everything still around it. its not hard at all to remove the seats, the base just tilts off and the rear has 2x 13mm nuts on each side

no, at each side. :S
Im talking about the backrest of the backseat. There are 2 13mm nuts on each side of the car, on the rear inner arches

yes i know and 2 in the middle

lol ive checked under the bench in all my saxos
when its a 60/40 split like 106gti or saxo 1.1 seats, they arent bolts, theyre just little metal tabs which slide into a bracket on the middle of the floor.
when its just a complete bench like vtr seats etc. there isnt any brackets in the middle
