Hey guys,

Im going to be having ago at re-trimming my 1.4 west coast seats. Im going to be using leatherette type material as anything is better than seat covers and i cant afford a proffesional re-trim. Im looking to do them black and grey.

Am i right in thinking. I need to de-stitch the existing seats and use the pieces of materials as patterns and then sew where needs be.

Is there any tips anyone would like to share on this subject?

thanks-

just to clarify, what do you mean by the rubber bits? are these on the bottom of the seat or are they embedded in the foam.

make sure you have some proper tough needles as you will go through a few.

The bits im talking about are rubber/plastic, you will see exactly what i mean as soon as you start removing the steel O rings that hold the material over the padding. As for removing the steel rings, needle nose pliers and pull fecking hard is the easiest way, reattach with cable ties thats what i did
