renewal is up 10th jan,

i only drive the car 1,000 miles on road a year. im with fluxxy at the mo £600 all declaired.

i think for a man of my age its a little expensive especially as ive 6ncb and a clean licence.

suggestions?

Mines cheaper than that with Admiral and I have less NCB and about 8 years younger.

I only have a few mods though, is yours heavily modded?

That could be why, I doubt a mainline insurer would cover all those mods so someone like flux or another modded insurer is likely your only option.

Mine went up like £50 for 4 mods with Admiral so with that lot I would expect a few hundred more.

id say that was a pretty fair price for anyone under 30 considering its extensively modified

Im 32. But its insured with mrs as main driver. Was cheapest option.

Have you had a quote from Chris knot? Flux have always covered my stuff in the past at a reasonable rate. I've just got cover for a standard vts £310
The benefit of getting old I guess.

i was payin about the same as that on a 16v ax at 25, only standard part was the shell

try need2insure and say amwar put you intouch with them ;) (his an owner of a magazine that work belongside them) there a company who insure highly modified cars

i pay £450 with Quinn direct (hastings offered me £425 so changing soon)
got my bro (advanced school of motorists and my mrs on policy, dropped it by £200)
and i am only 28

My main issue with insuring my car is the roll cage. Not many companys will.cover a proper weld in one.

Also i like adrian flux for they insure parts like for like. If my carbon spoiler got stolen in the night theyd replace it with a carbon one not a standard or to the value of a standard part.

With as many mods as i there is every reason to declair them all.
