Hi guys go hold of a flushed boot off ebay and managed to get arranged with seller that id arrange a courier to collect the tailgate from him and have it delivered. Trying to keep the cost down so how much would a boot tend to cost to be shipped? i don't live too far from him give or take 2hrs but don't have transport big enough to get it in. Also courier sites ask for weight and size but wouldn't have a clue
Thanks guys

Ask a friend to take you, and pay them towards fuel expenses, you can work it out exactly what you would owe them. Just an option really.

What do you think the weight and measurement would be on a tailgate gust a rough guess to get an idea for quote price?

if you are worried about scratching your seats why dont you just wrap them in a black bag or a sheet etc...
2 hour drive is nothing
delivery could risk damaging the boot

Well normally the charge would really depend on the location of each company. I also purchased tailgates recently I live in California and it will be shipped from Canada but I got the shifting free of charge. But what is an almost 2 hour drive? It wouldn't cost you that much also.. And if you really wanted it to not have scratches or anything, pickup would be best. Aside from it how much liters of gasoline would a four hour drive costs you in exchange of your safe and scratch-free item. Or you could tie it up, or a roof rack when you go there. Tailgate of saxo wouldn't be that much of a size.

www.parcelmonkey.co.uk is what I've used in the past (was recommended on here) to send an receive parts from wheels to bumpers, only cost me £25 to get a set of vtr wheels with tyres from Horsham to Barnsley.
