I have joined the forum to find out more about the VTR and VTS models. Looking for one to use as a track day/ autotest car; preferably a well maintained original car that has not been messed with too much with long MOT and some tax.

Not had a good look on the forum yet; is there a section on what to look for when buying a VTS/ VTR?

Shame I can't view the cars for sale yet or post in the wanted section; if anyone knows of a suitable car (up to £1000) not too far from Sandbach Cheshire let me know.

Cheers

Steve

Hello and welcome to saxperience!

Right the main difference is 8 valves, the vts being the 16v and 'r' the 8v.
The S is a lot quicker, but is a higher insurance group and more expensive to run.

When looking for a saxo, just look over it like you would any other car, it is most likely going to of had a thrashing but there are a few gems out there still.

Read through the forum and a lot of your questions will be answerd. PS use the search bar :D

Thanks for the reply. The VTS is pretty quick having driven one today (not as fast as my Scimitar SS1 ti though;)).

The S would be nice but an R would probably do the job and for me insurance in not so much of an issue:y:
