I have these all round on my car. I think the car sits around 55/60mm at the back, and 40/45mm on the front on Spax Springs.

I'm not too sure how good Spax Springs are. There lowering springs were nothing special (So i've herd) so i'm not sure if they use a different type of spring for this kit? And does anyone know what lb the spring takes?

Does anyone know if i can bring the front down to say 55mm for example and the dampers will be ok?

Thanks

The dampers should be fine for the drop you want. IIRC, they use the same ones for the 60mm PSX kit.

Cool

I don't want run of the mill 'Lowering springs'

I want something that will just close the arch gap and hold some weight. Maybe 250Lb springs. I'm not sure of any good quality springs that go down around 50mm

250lb springs?!?!

that'd be good if you spent a large time on track... for the road, back breaking

spax springs are the samre spring rate as standard, just shorter.

Spax PSX kit, i would rather run no dampers and cut down springs would proberly be safer, the kit is fucking awful. I had them on the VTS, All the dampers leaked after around 15k and the spring broke. Went billies and the difference is unreal.

Yeah, 90% of dampers are gas filled. they can leak gas though, if the seal is split.

it's not just a problem tha affects cheaper kits. Whilst less common, billies have been known to leak too.

old skool dampers were oil filled.

240mm free length springs are pretty much as short as you can go using the standard spring pan setup. I'd say 150lb and 240mm free length is only going to give you around 45 - 50mm drop at the front.

Personally, I'd either raise the back or go for coilovers.

240mm Free length springs?

Thanks

That's the length of the spring when it's not being compressed. :)

If you go any shorter than that, the spring unseats when you jack the car up etc.
