Out of interest is it possible to find out a cars MOT history even though its not yet bought?

Keen to know any advisories etc on a car I've got my eye on and verify the mileage too?

Cheers as usual

Yep on the direct.gov website but you need the most recent MOT number from the certificate to do it...

Any seller should be willing to give the MOT number unless they have something to hide

Ahh dear, not looking forward to mine next month now. Just checked mine and wow. Has at least 3-4 fails in the last 6 years. Hmmm.

Standard for most Saxo's, I have owned three and none of them passes the MOT first time round.

The website above is also good for verifying genuine mileage as well.
