imoa totally w*** and a waiste of money, I've heard nothing but bad reports on them, and the 2 kickers I heard were well sh**e, you can get much better subs for that price or a little more

thats just my opinion others may have different veiws

you ALWAYS recommend that sub scott lol, the RMS aint that much though on the RE? would it give me good bass?

thats why people keep recomending it as they are under rated, and it will sound a lot better than kicker

RE make GOOD stuff, not this over rated pap that other companies churn out saying that it will take 300 wrms but over 1000w peak. I mean thats just ridiculous. Plus the RE will take far more than its rated all day long. My XXX is rated at something like 1400 wrms, well thats where the warranty stops people have ran them all day long with far far more than taht.

Much like JL and there power figures

The L5 is not a bad sub for that money, problem is they get bought by people because they look good, get run with a cheapo amp thats heinously underpowered, stuffed into some off the shelf enclosure with no thought for volume requirements for the desired sound, the list goes on... and then people say they sound poor. Focal subs are worth a look, not sure on price ranges though.

I have never rated Kicker subs and I dont know why people have a big thing about how much power a sub can handle. Unless you either want the become deaf or compeate in sound offs it dont really matter. I have heard sweet sounding systems running with a total of less then 250w RMS for everything.

NO NO NO NO NO all the ones we sold went pop and came back then i have to get a knife, cut round the rubber, then cut round the spider pull the voice coil crush that in to a jiff bag and sent it back to kicker. then they say the customer over powered it and we tell them that that is that and we get the shit from the customer. imo go for the pioneer tsw 3004spl, we sell loads of them and never get any probs and they can take what they say they can.

Why do people recomend that Pioneer SPL sub? Its needs a lot of power and is not that good sound quaility wise at all. There are loads of better subs for the money.

but dave people these days who havent heard a proper spq setup just want large bass that can be heard miles away

and im sure the guy asking about kicker is one of the above...........
