As most people know Gamestation was selling Skyrim for £22 quid, and most people got it for christmas.

Just a discussion of what you think and what you enjoy doing?

I love it, I've played the others and didnt really get into them, but with this I feel quite involved with the game. I enjoy turning into a warewolf and fucking some shit up

Fucking awesome game. It's weird, my favourite thing is just hunting. Sneaking up on animals and killing them with my bow and arrows haha

I really really want this however I only really get about 5 hours a week to play my xbox and I have no doubt if I ge this it will be a total waster :@

Yeah, it feels like a bunch of different games rolled into one.

I played it before work and had a frost dragon, then straight afterwards an ancient dragon (need to be over level 30)
Took me 4 attempts.

Its a brilliant game, you can choose what to level up, like my guy is a sneaker with a bow, with 70 lockpicking and smithing ;)

To this I would say the game is definitely worth getting, and if you only get that many hours a week, and if you just concentrated on the main plot, it would take you about a month to complete. If you did loads of side quests on 5 hours a week, it could take up to 2 years. No joke.

Scott
5th January 2012, 09:13
thats the problem. Always loved the side quests in RPG's etc... and dont want to buy Skyrim just to plow through the main plot

GolfJay

Don't get rid of the game if you get stuck. There's a couple of places where I got stuck but the rest of the game is so so worth it.

Can't remember where you get the claw from. If its annoying you that much then just google it. And google the next bit too if you're easily annoyed...

slow-norris

im the sad cnut that paid £50 to get the version with the 350+ stratedgy guide and map with all 300+ locations detailed on it. didnt get stuck at any point but still thoroughly enjoyed just fighting dragons with flames and healing speels and bows
excellent game, on fable 3 now though

I've heard good things about this. But all the dragons / magic etc all seems a bit world of warcraft for me.

Think I'll have to play on a mates game before I buy it. Seems a bit too nerdy :/

this is the reason i didnt buy it at 1st but its seems quiet good and a nice change from mw, battlefield, halo etc...

some times i think the open world is a bit much as u can easily get lost and end up walking/running round for ages before you find anything lol

I'd rather stab myself with a fountain pen.

My god this sounds too geeky. I can't do it.

Glass armour? WTF use would that be? As well as being stabbed you've now got a face full of glass because some dickhead blacksmith decided it would be fun to make protective gear out of razor sharp glass.

MAGIC??? WTF!!!!

I'll stick to my Forza and blowing people up with rocket launchers on Gta

Thats the point of playing a game... Like in GTA when you'd know where to go without using a map etc.

I'd rather stab myself with a fountain pen.

I couldnt see how glass armour would be an advantage either, same as leather. WTF would leather do if you where shot with an arrow. Gah.

Of course it is, there's magic, dragons and armour made of glass. Might as well make your own battle costume so you feel like a real cool cat whilst playing it. I've now played it, and found it too funny and had to turn it off.

You obviously dont play WoW.

Leroy jenkins came from vanilla (level 60) now we are on level 85, and tactics for bosses are far improved. If i guy runs in then /kick.

Also in wow you get cloth, leather, mail and plate armour, with different stats

Just saying.

Yeah but forza makes sense, its a car game where you drive cars.

Fighting dragons using magic and an uncanny ability to sneak isn't going to get you anywhere in the real world is it?

Satire.

Anyone who knows me would know I was kidding. So pipe down

Im glad you went on to refer to LOTR and HP, both of which are huge selling franchises.

If your trying to compare a game like forza to LOTR, HP, Skyrim, and WoW then i'm afraid you're mixing chalk and cheese.

Games I play are Role- Playing

Games you play are driving.

Still a game, still "fake" just play a game which you enjoy,

To start off with, start again.

Use all of your gold aquired to buy iron ingots and leather strips. Use your skill ups to buy smithing perks, you'll need to make 500-600 iron dagger for 100. If you level up your enchanting, disenchant a absorb health weapon, buy shards, buy soul trap, soul trap enemies, get shard, then use shard to power iron daggers you have made with absorb health. They sell for 300+.

Rinse and repeat :)
