Hi everyone, i have a mango westcoast with 15" gold speedline rims, I want to paint them gloss black but was wondering how you prep the wheels as the paint is peeling of the rims at the minute and will need attention before painting

just sanding to prep mate. go from a rough grade and work your way up to a smooth grade. i used cheap wilkinsons sand paper at 1st to get rid of pate. was like grade 80 or something. i finished off with halfords 1800 wet/dry grade. best tip anyone can give you is if your not 100% sure there ready then they aint. if you dont get the prep right then the paint job will be shit. take your time and just keep going until your happy

after sanding
spray primer and once dry , using a very very fine wet/dry sandpaper, lightly sand over the sprayed area's .
clean dust off then spray with colour and laquer

Just make sure you take your time. Will take longer thab a day to get it right. When tou get to the painting, if you can see imperfections then make sure you sand it back down until it is gone
The smallest marks will show up when you paint them

Spraying alloys is quite easy but just make sure you do the sanding well. Then its just primer, paint and laquer.

When my Raptors were sprayed gloss black I didnt leave them long enough to dry... put them on after a weekend of drying and the paint didnt settle properly so it started coming away from the wheel... only the front two tho... i think its becuasse of the heat from the brakes but not sure :/ just make sure they dry properly haha
