If this is in the wrong section, please move accordingly. Couldn't really place it.
The roof on my car isn't 100% water tight so a bit of moisture is let in over night causing steamy windows and a general damp feeling. I'm sure some of your Saxo's are the same.
Does anybody know where to get the silica gel tubs or alternatives to absorb the moisture? I've checked halfrauds but there's none in stock.
Any suggestions?

I've heard if you keep a bag of rice on your dash that helps?
Seriously. Whether it does or not, feck knows.
I'm not wasting a good bag of rice to try Lol

Can't you get some rice also heard coffee is good to draw moisture out although it will smell like a teachers lounge.

Coffee is possibly the most offensive smell my nostrils can be subjected to. But I'll try the rice trick tonight, if not I'll buy the amazon thing. I also hear cat litter is good. But I must remember to remove the poo coils first.

may sound stupid but my stepdads mk2 golf had a leak and a he sorted and and put a cotte nbaby sock full of salt under both the seats because salt draws moisture in.

My boss has the same problem with his z3. He fills a sock up with cat litter leaves it in the car. The cat litter soaks up the moisture in the air then when the sock gets wet you empty it wash it then re fill it. Costs a couple of quid every now and then.

Sorry only just checked this. I got a big bag of orange Silica gel from our factory at work (Roughly 1kg of the stuff for good measure).
Put it into a tub and leave it in the car over night. It works amazingly well and I've not had steamy windows since.
I believe it's the same stuff that James linked me too but I've forgotten what that was exactly and I'm back at work so can't check.
Either way it turns green when it needs to be "Recharged" basically cooked in an oven then you're good for another 2 weeks or so. Couldn't recommend it more.

Well, to a degree maybe but if you're sat up in a car park with your mates in the car / having fun with the mrs then no.
It gets rid of steamy windows in the morning on a cold day but removing that much moisture from the air is stretching it a bit I think.

My mum and dad have a static caravan in blackpool they just put a bowl of salt in each room over the winter and it works pretty well.
I know you're sorted now but for others with similar problems they could do something similar as a temporary bodge.

Yep. Salt, cat litter, rice all work very well for anybody looking for a cheap alternative to the silica.

Just remember to remove the poop, that will cause scent issues.
