Following on from the thread on different car scenes.
What would you say is the current trend? Past few years saw a lot of people imitating track cars, we've had colourful wheels, tow straps. Euro has kind of come and gone I reckon.
What would you say is the current trend? Personally I think stance is the popular one at the moment. Time for wheels and stance?

Stance gtf. Although poke rake tuck stretch flush is probably whats happening.
I think the second half of 2012 may see carbon fibre windscreens being the trend.

trends in the car scene are generally always cheap shite.
So lexus lights, tow straps, sticker bombing, pressed plates etc...
Personally I hope that the bodykitted days become popular again then we may see some interesting creations again rather than the same shite over and over...
The uk car scene now just copies what the americans/japs are doing. They have far better roads though lol.

I think another is preserving and restoring modern classics. This seems to be getting more popular and having a few videos on youtube and vimeo of their restorations.

OEM+ I'd say because it's practical to most. Not excessive in power, looks, ride hight etc.

nought wrong with having OEM think having a clean example of any car is always better than having some "Stanced" car that can't go anywhere

I reckon people will just keep on doing what everyone else is doing and claiming it's original.

whatever it is, it isnt saxos getting new styles, 1 in 6 saxos have been written off in their lives, two years ago on pistonheads there was 200 plus saxos for sale, today there is 57. that may be because theres none for sale but lets be realistic, there becoming rarer and rarer by the day

There are less of every car for sale. Don't you have to pay now on pistonheads for an advert? Most of the people were making adverts just for attention or gauging interest before or just for the sake of making one.

Im not 100% sure about it, I read something a few months ago about it. Still cheaper than AutoTrader, I think they charge around £30 minimum.
