Macro pics!

About time I started to take some macro pics again, so I spent the past half hour in my little garden. Enjoy!

What lens are you using for these shots? A macro lens or a close up adapter?

Thanks! They're very difficult pics to take.To get is flying... er, good settings and a little bit of luck ;)

I used the 70-200 F/4L with macro adaptor, but a new solution is coming the way next month ;)

Settings: Camera on manual, F11 to get enought DOF (very important for macro), 1/200 to get it sharp and ISO 400 because it was 7pm. Then a 420EX flash, set to -2/3 to avoid harsh light with omnibounce and a monopod (couldn't be arsed to get the tripod ;)).

And as someone on the SSC forum explained: the background is black because the shutterspeed and aperture I used ment that the ambient light behind the subect did not hit the sensor.
