this is gonna be a weird thought but id just like to know if anyone else has had any experiences like this
but yeah here goes..

today around 9am one of my mates was out, and he met a random couple of lads from birmingham and they smoked a joint, next thing they beat the fuck out of him and stomped on his head on the curb.
he rang another mate after saying he had been beaten up so we went out to see him and fuck me never seen something like this before! his face was swelled and a bust lip but not too bad, but he had gone fucking mental! seriously mental! he wasnt the person we knew anymore, he was saying things like " God has sent me a message, you're all going to die and unless you stay with me, i'll save you " and he was being fully serious! he was chatting so much shit like this it made me feel so so cold! im genuinely so scared and shocked!

he also kept mentioning those two lads that he met saying they were his best friends and he had known them for years and that theyre his family and that he's gonna go over there and live with them then when he comes back he's going to kill us all!

he's bin in hospital since about 2 and just now they've "sectioned" him, i have no idea what that means but it sounds bad :wacko:

if you rationalise it, hes said or done something serious enough in the hospital, which has made the hospital staff deem him as mentally unstable for them to cope with. so it seems as if may have had a breakdown, just by listening to you saying hes had troubles at home etc, this morning with the drugs, getting kicked to fuck, and family issues then its in black and white to me mate, its just frustrating that he couldnt come to yourself of other friends to talk about it. iv been in a similar situation (the one previously mentioned) and i almost lost a friend. so i hope for your sake and his sake that this is all it comes to, let me know if anything picks up :y:

yeah the nurses that were there at the time when we were there looked pretty shocked at the things he was coming up with, but yeah youre right mate! :)

It may sound odd but one of the easiest and most lethal things to lace a smoke with is poppers, however this sounds like a combination of a laced joint and massive head trauma. Unlike what most people have said I doubt it was a hallucinogen and more like a cocaine/E stimulant and then due to the trauma some wires got crossed, as to me this would help with the saying the lads were his best mates because of the 'loved up' feeling it gives.

It will be difficult for him if he has been sectioned, to get sectioned the person has to have an initial assesment with one of the nurses, they will decide whether or not to admit him/her. Must be bad for him to get sectioned and also it can be difficult to be released once your in. Hope all is well mate!

I'd say he was more mental if he was acting strange, like walking around with an arm sticking up or something rather than psycho babble. Physical conditions are much harder to act out as they take more effort, yet talk is cheap as they say.

Hope he pulls himself together, doesn't sound like he's in a good place anyway, if his circumstances are poor i'd be more concerned with longer term depression.

To be honest in my past years I used to be big into drugs, I'm not anymore, the last time i took anything was a long long time ago. But in my time I’ve taken blues (and other similars) enough times to know the comedown is NEVER that bad. I’ve even taken pure flake ecstasy straight from the rock, obviously I felt a bit shit and shakey the next day, but I’ve never thought “fuck this… I’m cutting my torso and killing myself”

i sort of agree with you here mate, i reckon its PCP or some other strand like i said earlier - but what i dont get, is why two people would roll a joint for a guy they've only just met. they're not just going to roll it for him and leave it with him are they? they're going to smoke it themselves too. so why lace it in the first place?

i know a few people that have been sectioned. and most of the time its been from taking too much speed, they stay up for weeks and get really paranoid. one of them even stripped all their furniture to bits coz thought was bugged. and filled any gaps or holes up round the house thinking they were getting gased. the joint and kickin has probably tipped him over the edge.

See it all the time in work - head injuries more often than not result in behaviour changes. Raised ICP/trauma around/in the brain is never good. Sectioned for his own safety - in case he needed emergency surgery.
