Hi guys iv got a sudden violent vibration coming through my car it seems to be from about the dashboard back. It only started this morning and inside the car it sounds like the exhaust has fallen off. outside the car seems quieter than usual. What could this be? So far iv thought of engine mounts.
Thanks

Engine mount next to the ECU, it is in two parts and the bolt which holds them together snaps or shears and causes a vibration.
Easy to remove and check as a starter for 10

Mounts are all ok nothing seems to be touching bits it shouldnt be. Anything else i can check? Or is it a case of just wait and see what breaks.
Cheers

Did you remove the ECU mount to check?
If the bolt has snapped then you won't see it until you remove the whole mount
