hi all,

Just got my first saxo (1997 1.1i) and loving it. However it came fitted with a silly clock instead of a rev counter. Maybe there is a guide about that somewhere, but I can't find it. I found a 2nd hand speedo thing with a rev counter, if i were to swap them over, is there a connector for the rev counter or another way to make the rev counter work? i read in the Haynes max power thing about installing a separate rev counter, but does the same apply for a stock citroën rev counter? Just do not want to take out the wheel and instruments to find out it doesn't work ;)

thanks in advance!

Should imagine that its the same as the Max power guide to where to get the input wires from. There is a guide on here somewhere for the clocks that shows what wire goes to the numbered terminals.

Cant see it being difficult just take your time and label the wires up with tape to help you.

Looking forward to do it but is the rev counter built in with a funny connector? would anyone have a picture of the back side of one of those things? just would like to avoid soldering wires if possible :)

The one that is built in on the gauges you have will have connectors in the multi plug on the back of the gauges. I may be wrong but i think all you would need is a couple of crimp on spade connectors.
