How long ago were you breaking them...

Doesn't mean there is decent money in it if the price of the cars have gone up or everything else in the world costs more...

Just because there's stuff on eBay, doesn't mean it's selling. People struggle like fuck to sell anything even if it's giving it away,

Maybe parts are getting harder to come across, so prices are going up.

IMO on ebay it's better looking for someone just advertising breaking a car rather than the part. eg I was after a speedo sensor for Delica/Pajero/Shogun, these are advertised separately for around £80.
After calling someone who advertised they are breaking a Delica they supplied the part for £30. The bonus being it came off a great condition Delica which had crash damage, so I knew I was getting one that would be in good condition.

no basically your average breaker will have been shopped to hmrc buy paypal and/or ebay, thus stoppped selling for his beer tokens as he doesnt want to go self employed

so the only real breakers on there are proper breakers who have overheads and tax to pay

you get the occasional person just getting rid of their own but thats about it these days

Try buying parts for a Fiat Punto.... a single headlight unit would had cost £40, Bumper £100

A VW Polo 6N is even dearer @ £150 for a rear bumper and £50 for mirrors.
