Got my mate to put my lower strut brace on for me today, and got back and seen the quick fitting guide (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112191) on here, and think it's on the wrong side, would this make a big difference? lol.

Here's the pic from the quick fitting guide of how it should be and the quote...

3) Then you just fit the brace onto the bolt ends, where you removed the nuts, so that when you put the nuts back on they are sitting in the cups of the brace.

Here's how mine looks, my mate actually took the bolts out and put the bolt through the strut brace hole, then through the wishbones...

Will this make any difference good/bad to the effectiveness of the strut brace at all?

No idea, but I would personally switch it to the other side.

I doubt it would mate still does the same thing. Just less clearance between the brace and exhaust lol

Have you driven it yet like that?

May find the exhaust batters the living fuck out of the brace if you stick your foot down and then let off.

My centre was close to the arb and it bashed it every time I hit the gas hard and then came off.

Yeah drove it home like it, the exhaust only vibrates on it on idle. :)

Got it off today and tried putting it on the other way with no luck, doesn't fit. :(
The seller I bought it off said he had hit it on something but it should still fit on my car, clearly not... looks like the dents in it have made it pretty much useless. -.-
So I've contacted the guy on here to let him know and see what he says, pretty annoyed about it.

Glad I read this as I have just seen your claim you have tried to do I have never said that I had hit something with this brace on I said it was off my track car and had surface scratches which as described to you now that I have seen that you have tried to fit the strut brace fitted it on backwards by someone who obviously does not no what they are doing drove it home with the exhaust hammering the shit out of it which I'm amazed that you managed to fit it this way and now you are trying to claim that it's my fault that it now won't fit ????? I would recommend you putting your car on a jig
